Last updated: December 2025

What does this notice cover?

This notice explains how Connektify Ltd (also referred to as AI Marker, we, us) uses your personal data when you use our website and any related apps, tools, and services (together, the Platform).

We decide how and why your personal data is used, so we act as the data controller under UK data protection law (including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).

This notice also explains your rights and choices, including how you can object to some types of processing.

Personal data we may collect about you

The data we handle depends on how you use the Service. The categories below may apply.

Data you provide

·       Account details: name, email address, login details, and settings you choose.

·       Learner profile details you choose to add: year group, subjects, and study preferences.

·       Study content: text you enter, answers you write, files you upload, and messages you send through the Service.

·       Support messages: emails, tickets, and related records.

Data we collect automatically

·       Device and usage data: IP address, device type, browser details, pages viewed, features used, and timestamps.

·       Security and diagnostics: log data and error reports used to keep the Service working and secure.

Data from others

We may receive personal data from third parties in limited cases, including:

·       A parent or guardian who creates or manages a subscription for a learner.

·       A school, tutor, or educator that sets up a managed workspace and invites users to join.

·       Payment providers or app stores that confirm payment status and subscription identifiers.

·       Analytics and advertising partners when you accept optional cookies or marketing settings.

Why we use your data and the legal basis

We use personal data for these purposes:

How we share your personal data

We may share personal data with:

International transfers

Your personal data may be stored or accessed outside the UK (including the US) when we use global service providers.

Your choices and rights

You have rights under UK data protection law, including:

These rights are not absolute and may be limited where required by law or where someone else rights would be affected.

Marketing choices

You can stop marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Service messages about your account or subscription can still be sent.

Children and learners

AI Marker is intended for study use. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must set up or approve your account. Schools and guardians that provide learner data must have the right to do so.

If we learn that personal data has been collected in a way that is not permitted, we may delete the data and disable the account.

How long we keep your personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes in this notice. Retention depends on the type of data, why it was collected, legal duties, and whether there is an active dispute or investigation.

·       Account and billing records are kept while an account is active and then for a period to meet tax, accounting, and legal duties.

·       Study content and AI session history are kept while an account is active so you can review past work. After account closure, we delete or de identify this material within our standard retention schedule unless we need it for disputes, safety, or legal reasons.

·       Security logs are kept for a shorter period, then removed or de identified unless needed for incident response.

·       Marketing preferences are kept to respect your choices. If you opt out, we keep a suppression record so we do not send marketing again.

·       We may delete or anonymise data sooner, and we may keep it longer where required by law or needed to handle claims.
